Over 30 new customers were connected during the first six month of 2008 and many more are in the queue.

The largest fraction of thes new providers are based in Eastern Europe. The latest addition to the DE-CIX customer base are the incumbent operators of Romania "ROMTELECOM" and Serbia "Telecom Srbija".

This confirms DE-CIX' leading role as the Internet Gateway for Central-  and Eastern Europe.
