Network Specialist (m/f)

We are looking for a Network Specialist for our Frankfurt office for our Engineering/Operations team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Accomplished certificate in computer science or comparable education, combined with relevant experience in similar position
• Relevant work experience:2+ years of experience in telecommunications or related industry. Carrier/ISP experience welcome.

Essential Skills:

• Languages required: German & English (advanced level, any other language a plus)
• Accurate, independent working style, able to work under pressure
• Good communication skills, service-oriented mind-set, team player
• Familiar with open source tools in the ISP environment
• Interested in new technologies
• Proficient in either Linux or optical networking or programming is an advantage
• Willingness to be on call

Responsibilities:

• Developing, installation, operation and monitoring of DE-CIX production infrastructure (Force10 E1200)
• Developing, installation, operation and monitoring of DE-CIX management infrastructure (Cisco C3750)
• Second level support
• Participation in Internet Community
• Supporting the Office LAN (Windows)
